Tethert is a Featherdog. The theoretical elves of the canine world, Featherdogs are amazingly graceful, both in flight and on the ground. They are wonderfully intelligent, and can be taught to communicate with humans. They are native to the rainforests of the planet Drameru. The humans that inhabited that part of the world during the 10th century hunted Featherdogs for their fine soft pelts. Featherdog pelts have since become a major industry on the planet. Tethert is the leader of a pack of wild Featherdogs who are constantly in danger of humans.
