Kyra is a majestic elfin woman from an ancient tribe. She’s the daughter of her tribe’s leader and very skilled in elf magic. All of her life, Kyra has been told of the man she would one day marry. His name is Jori and his father is the leader of the neighboring elf community. Their wedding was planned before they were even born. It was to be a joyous occasion, the start of a beautiful romance. Unfortunately this is not at all how the things went. Kayra and Jori despised each other. They had nothing in common, didn’t understand each other’s jokes, and bickered the entire time they were together. Both fathers were distraught, never having thought their children would dislike one another. Kayra refused to bind herself to Jori, and Jori vowed to never wed Kayra. If they couldn’t even be friends how could they ever be man and wife? Their fathers explained to them that they must be wed before the summer solstice or else a dark plague would fall upon both villages. Still neither of them changed their minds.
